Taylor Alexa Montgomery: Generation 4 Chapter 4

Alexa and Lamar are elders and they're as focused as ever on plowing through their careers and living a full life!  In fact, the day after Alexa turned elder, she was promoted to the top of the athletic career!

Don't you wish you earned as much money as sims do in their careers? I swear, I am jealous every single time they get a promotion.

Of course, I wouldn't want the 7,000 bill they have to pay a week for their home!

I guess with more money comes more responsibility!

This promotion put Alexa at 3/4 in her Fortune aspiration. Next up? Earn 200,000...I really don't see that happening in this lifetime. Who knows though, maybe she'll surprise me.  She makes 3,000 a day and while there is a chance for promotions...she's already an elder and that is a LOT of money. I do have her working on paintings in her spare time as well so she can generate money on the side.

Lamar got his promotion but I'm not sure that he'll complete his current aspiration as his life bar is blinking. He does have that often mentioned long-lived trait though so we'll see how long he hangs on.

He has completed Bodybuilder and Musical genius already so I guess if he doesn't hang on long enough to complete his current aspiration—it'll be okay.

He's been a very hard worker and he put up with Alexa through those years when she was depressed and unpleasant so I reckon I'll let him rest in peace when his time comes. Maybe.

Can you believe we're already talking about death for this generation? Geez, they grow too fast. No, I'm not crying. My eyes are sweating. Don't you all insult me by thinking I'm going soft. I'm NOT and I won't hesitate to kill another sim to prove it. Mmmkay?

Life is pretty good, for the most part. I'm worried that Alexa will fall back into depression since her kids are practically grown and her uncle Ezra has passed away. They spent a lot of time together. She's done so well for so long but I worry what grief might do to her.  I had such a terrible time with her last time she lost someone close to her.

To stave off any disappointment and grief...I decided to bribe Alexa with a brand new house. I felt like Oprah. A house for you, and you and you! Houses for EVERYONE! This lot increases the Montgomery lot value from 209,000 to 236,000. 

Plus, this doubles as a birthday gift for Sophia because it is her birthday! Go, Sophia! Getcha romancin' on, it's your birthday! You all know what this means? It is time to find a man! Want to know something ridiculous? The Maker is so sleepy that as she went on the man hunt she was singing, "I was searching for a man, all across Simpan. Just to find, to find my sim a guy."


Remember she expressed interest in the maid? Well, I don't know what happened to him but once she aged up, he was nowhere to be found on her friends list. It's like he disappeared. So, in my searching for her a man, we happened to know this dude named Akito Nakamura.

So, she invited him over for dinner and ended up proposing to him. He said yes and they immediately eloped!  

I set the happy couple up with their careers, Doctor for Sophia and Politician for Akito.  I also gave him a little makeover at the mirror. Not bad! He's kinda cute!

He's also a bit of a wildcard. He's a sim that loves the outdoors and collecting things and yet a politician.  Akito wants to make sure that all sims have the opportunity to do great things with their life.

BUT...first babies. Usually I make my sims wait a bit unless things just happen with risky woohoo but Alexa wants a grandchild and she pretty much told them to get to it because her life is blinking!

So, as soon as Akito came home from his first day of work I sent them straight the hot tub to try for a baby.

 

Trying for baby was a success! Sophia is expecting her first child! This is so exciting! Come on, little one! Please arrive before grandma and grandma say their goodbyes to this world! Please? It's been ever so long since one of my Legacy sims have gotten to meet their grandchild! Alexa is so excited too. It'll break my heart if she doesn't get to meet her grandbaby. This is so important to me and to Alexa!

Before I knew it, it was go time. Sophia was in labor.  Sophia is determined to have only one child so note how nice she has the little girl's room decorated. She is hoping and praying for a little girl so she doesn't have to go through another pregnancy.  Partly because she's wanting to be a doctor like her great grandma Jordan and also because she's been so sick and tired the entire pregnancy.

Well, she gave birth to a son. Michael Elijah. Want to see Sophia's response to being told she would have to have another baby at some point in the future to secure an heir for her maker?

Don't get me wrong, she is very excited to be a mom but she is not excited to puke her guts up ever single day of her life for months! The only plus for her right now is that Alexa and Lamar BOTH lived long enough to meet their grandchild. We are all kind of surprised since their lifebars have been blinking for days!

 Hopefully they'll get to spend some time with their precious new grandson. They do have the long-lived aspiration so I guess we'll see how much time they actually get to spend with him.  All in all, the future is looking bright for Sophia and I'm so elated to see Lamar and Alexa handing over the reigns in a less traumatic way than some of the previous generations.  Things feel more peaceful and less rushed with these two. They're living out the last of their days in love and preparing their daughter for their eventual passing so that she can better cope with losing them than Alexa was able to in those early months of her marriage.

Taylor Alexa Montgomery: Generation 4 Chapter 3

Now, right into updates! We'll start with Lewis! Lewis was able to complete the Whiz Kid and Rambunctious scamp aspirations plus was an A+ student when he aged up to teen!  Unfortunately I spun Public Enemy as his adult aspiration.  Thank goodness he isn't my heir. Hopefully Sophia doesn't spin the same. Public Enemy is an aspiration I kind of despise. Sims should leave the evil stuff to their maker.  I have to say though, he reminds me of Thresh from The Hunger Games so...who knows, maybe I'll make him the reluctant Public Enemy and kind of enjoy it.

Little Sophia turned into a child the day after Lewis turned into a teen and I'm so surprised at her looks! She doesn't look very much like a Montgomery. She looks like Tiffani Amber Thiessen. For all you young whippersnappers, she was a popular actress back in the 90's. Yes, the Maker is showing her age. 80's baby and all...

Sophia has already completed the Rambunctious Scamp aspiration and is working to quickly fulfill the Whiz Kid aspiration like her big brother.

With both children's future looking bright, Lamar celebrated his elder birthday! Doesn't he kinda look like Obama?  By the way, don't take this as me being political, it's an observation, nothing more.

He is still level 7 in his career but he is very close to his promotion. I'd say the next work day will bring him to level 8. Additionally, he's now on 3/4 on his Successful Lineage Aspiration.

The day after Lamar aged up, it was time to celebrate Sophia's birthday and she grew into a lovely young lady with the Soulmate aspiration. 

 She's already scoping out the maid...like mother like daughter? I don't know what he's doing in his spare time but I can tell ya that he didn't get that body cleaning houses.  I'm torn on whether I let her pursue him when she ages to young adult because he is so much older than her. I worry that she'll be disappointed not to have as much time with her spouse as he'll certainly die before her.  I guess we'll see. Maybe I'll consult with my friend, The Almighty to see if she thinks it'll be a good idea to let Sophia pick her own partner. This letting sims plan their own life is such uncharted territory for me.

It was a week of birthdays. I sent Alexa into the kitchen to bake her own birthday cake (which also maxed out her cooking skills) and then sent her to the mirror to get a little look at her as an elder. Not too bad, she looks a little mean but maybe she just channeling her inner Maker.

At least she doesn't walk around in sadness anymore though. We had made progress.

Then...I totally missed Lewis' birthday. I guess it just didn't seem possible that it was time for him to age up yet. So, I forgot to have a cake made for him and now he's walking around in a funk because we forgot his birthday. Sheesh, what entitled brats I've raised. 

Workin' on those skills!

Now that he's a young adult, I can put him to work (starting at level 3 due to good grades!) and hopefully fulfill his dad's aspiration of seeing a child reach the top of his career. 

Lamar better not die before Lewis maxes his career or I'll bring him back to life and kill him just as I killed the maid.  Don't believe me? Just watch me. I've said it before and I'll say it again. What the Maker wants, the Maker gets.

Not too old for the closet!

Time is winding down for Lamar and Alexa. Both are elderly but I'm not ready to say goodbye to them just yet. With the long-lived trait, I'm really hoping that at least Alexa will get to meet her grandbaby and future heir.  Lamar is quite a bit older than Alexa and I'm not sure he'll live long enough to see grandbabies but I have a good feeling about Alexa.  Check back in with us next time to see if my dreams become their reality or if they disappoint me by dying of old age! Taylor Alexa Montgomery: Generation 4 Chapter 2

Things have picked up for Alexa since the last chapter.  I don't know if it was the talk with Ricky or that her little boy (now a child) is very social and always hugging her but...I've actually seen her smile!

Alexa is actually an excellent mom. She's very attentive and spends a lot of time reading to Lewis. Alexa has been very determined not to be like her mom. Even though she's very ambitious, she never wants to neglect her children the way that her mom had neglected her.  Really, I think that having a child and developing that parent/child relationship has healed a hole in her heart.

As always, their love life certainly isn't struggling. The important thing is—they've developed a loving friendship as well. Best friends.  It's absolutely relieving to see. Although, since I strengthened their relationship, Alexa's taken to wanting to woohoo in strange places like the closet or sauna.

Both Alexa and Lamar celebrated their birthdays and are now adult.  Alexa is level 8 in her athletic career and Lamar is level 6.  Isn't he just handsome? I can see why Alexa was so smitten with him. I'm glad she's seeing him for his true worth and not just his handsome face these days because he's been an absolute joy to get to know.

Not only is he quite a looker but he's also completed his music aspiration and is now working on bodybuilder! He's my first spouse in the legacy house to complete his lifetime aspiration! Way to go, Lamar!

Ambition is apparently a family trait!   Lewis is an A student,  has completed the Whiz Kid aspiration and has quickly set in on the Rambunctious Scamp aspiration.  Will he complete it? I don't know but if he's anything like his parents he may just manage it!

With Lamar and Alexa getting along and an improvement in her overall mood and Lewis turning into some kind of prodigy—we have decided (mutually) that it is time to try for an heir.

Things happened fast and Lewis is absolutely thrilled at the prospect of being a big brother!  Isn't he just the sweetest? It's no wonder that Alexa is doing so wonderfully these days.  Her husband and son are just the sweetest thing since Ricky.

Time seemed to fly and it wasn't long before Alexa gave birth to a sweet baby girl that she named Sophia Reece.  Aren't they just adorable?

Alexa has turned out to be the best and sweetest mother. Don't tell anyone but I think she is my favorite. I know, I always say that but it's really true this time. It's the first time in my entire simming career that I've ever felt like I got inside the head of my sim.  It's the first time that I ever let my sim dictate what she wanted to do with her life.  Good gravy, I think the Almighty Ruler of Everything is getting to me.  I'm going soft. I  need to find a sim to kill—fast. I've a reputation to save!.

Remember back when Alexa was depressed and wanted to flirt with the maid? You don't? Well, I do. The Maker remembers all and since I had a reputation to protect, he was going to be my victim.  I locked this poor guy (who I didn't even note his name) in the bathroom and locked the door for everyone.  The family has no idea what took place in their bathroom nor did it ever occur to them to contact someone over the sticking door.  All they know is that one fateful evening the door jammed and three days later the door miraculously opened and the Grim floated out.   The Maker's reputation is intact and the Montgomery family is none the wiser.

So, here's a quick recap of the current generation and their accomplishments. Now, this is not typical of something I normally do but they've been such overachievers I feel the need to share

Alexa has completed the bodybuilder aspiration and has all of the following traits and unlocked traits

and is level 9 in the athletic career.

She has currently 2/4 in the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration.

With 11 days until elder and the long-lived trait, I've no doubt that Alexa will have many more things accomplished before handing the reigns over to her daughter for the next generation.


Lamar has also done quite well for himself. He has completed the Musical Genius Aspiration as well as Bodybuilder and is currently 3/4 in the Successful lineage aspiration.

He is level 7 in his Musical Career and has five days before he turns to Elder.

Like Alexa, he has the Long Lived trait and I've a feeling he'll have a couple more aspirations completed before he steps down as the head of the Montgomery Legacy.

I'm very excited to see where these two go from here!

Taylor Alexa Montgomery: Generation 4 Chapter 1

Words can't even describe how I'm feeling about this generation so far so I'll let the picture do the talking for me...

Fun Fact: The walls are down in this image. Want to know how many times that happens? Not often. The Maker is pretty darn near perfect and would never make a mistake like...okay, wait, what was I saying? Lighting just struck near me and I can't recall.

I don't understand what is up with Alexa. She and Lamar both agreed not to try for a baby until they were settled into their careers and had at least 75,000 put back for future generations. This agreement was not only to help provide for future generations but also because it's her aspiration to amass a fortune. It is easier to work towards that goal by reaching the top of her career before children enter the picture. I don't know if it is this arrangement that is leaving her so unsatisfied with their love life but she has some serious issues right now and it's driving me insane.

 Ambition on both of their part is clearly driving a wedge between these two. Alexa has already maxed out the bodybuilder aspiration so we're talking serious overachiever here. I truly believe the problem is that they didn't spend nearly enough time together as a couple before saying their vows. 

Truth is, they're practically strangers to one another.  Lamar is happy but Alexa clearly is not.  I don't know if she's upset because of losing her parents or if she's just not feeling Lamar but I do worry about her.  I'm worried about what this means for their relationship because I really like Lamar but she's suddenly showing the desire to flirt with someone down at the gym.  Oh, Alexa...

Now, what's worrying is that Alexa is not the type to want to have multiple romances. No, something is clearly going on with her and as her Maker, I'm worried about her emotional well being.  I'm also concerned about Lamar because he's genuinely a very nice guy!

Alexa is a gym rat, a body builder and she is in the athletic career. Because of this she spends a lot of time at the gym which I would typically encourage but I am very alarmed because during her latest visit to the gym, I so happened to see her cozy up to Marcus Flex.  Now, Marcus is a playable sim and that means that this is just not a viable option for Alexa even if she wanted to pursue a relationship with him. She's really wasting her time as well as Marcus' and it's just not fair at all to Lamar.

I tried to talk her out of it but she threw caution to the wind and asked Marcus to work out with her.  Interestingly, during their workout together, Alexa became violently ill. She hopped off of the treadmill and ran to the bathroom and just emptied her stomach right there in the gym's bathroom. This poor girl was sick—very sick.  I was a little taken aback. Could she be pregnant? Surely not!

Out of 39 families and many woohoo happy sims, I've only had my sim's birth control fail them three times...if she's pregnant this makes two of those three failures in the same family. Apparently these girls aren't too great about taking their pill at the same time every day. Because...yes, she is definitely pregnant.

 
This throws a definite kink in things because not only have she and Lamar not worked out their differences but this also means that Alexa's birth control failed. Now, she didn't actually cheat on Lamar but she was strongly considering it and I just don't feel that it's wise to bring a baby into the family while she's feeling so unhappy and indecisive.  What is done is done though and there is no going back. So, Alexa has to go home and tell Lamar that she's expecting and hopefully he doesn't think that the baby isn't his because it really is!  Although, I have a feeling that Lamar is pretty oblivious to Alexa's life crisis. He's a good guy but he's just not seeing that Alexa is very obviously depressed and unhappy.

This girl is going to push every button that I have. Goodness! I usually am not this invested in the emotional welfare of my sims. Typically, what the Maker wants, the Maker gets and I really did not ask for little miss Alexa to come along and ruin my plans of world domination and mind control.  Something has got to be done. 

Lamar better get his act together and build not only a romance with Alexa but a beautiful friendship. They have the hot and heavy making out thing down just fine. What they don't have is a solid friendship like Jordan had with Ricky.  How can this girl be such a mess when she had two parents who were so completely devoted to one another?

All I know is that even after a promotion and having a song dedicated to her by her husband...Alexa still came home from work with the most sour of expressions on her face. The only time her eyes even lit up for a moment was when she spoke to the maid. I think I may have to fire him and hire someone else because Alexa cannot be trusted to make good choices right now.

 

In fact, even Ricky (her deceased father) is trying to talk some sense into her these days! He has tried to explain to her how important a strong friendship is to a marriage and has encouraged her to put forth more of an effort...talk things out.

Alexa apparently has no clue what, "talk things out" means. Poor Lamar just goes right along with things. He just doesn't get how dire it is that they stop making out instead of talking about their marriage.  Heck, I think maybe he doesn't realize there is a problem at all!

In any event, Alexa went off to work and came home in a bad mood...again. She didn't have time to mope for long though because she went into labor shortly after taking a good cry in the closet.

Lewis Reid Montgomery made his appearance after a lengthy labor that was very physically draining for Alexa. Unfortunately, a baby boy means that Alexa has even all the more reason to work on her marriage because she's going to have to try again to get an heir!

Overall, Alexa and Lamar are doing very well financially but we have a whole lot of emotional issues to work out before I'm willing to call this generation a success. 

In the next installment we'll see little Lewis grow up and hopefully a resolution to Alexa's unending sadness.  Here's to hoping that she can pull things together and give us a generation 5 heir!

Jordan Talia Montgomery: Generation 3 Chapter 4

This installment in the lives of the Montgomery family is going to be a bit out of the ordinary. It is going to have a different tone than previous chapters.  I, the Maker, am admitting this now.   See, you may have noticed my absence. The silence has been deafening in the last little while.  Why? See, for the first time in my capacity as the Maker—my heart is broken.

No, no one has died—yet.  Jordan is an elder. It's coming and I know it.  My heart breaks because I've bonded to Ricky and Jordan in a way that I never quite expected. I care for them. I know admitting this means I'm a little crazy and might need some help but I can't help it. I care for them.

In saying that, I'll do my best to start sharing what's going on as well as explain the very obvious lack of documenting of images/life info for my now teenage heir, Taylor Alexa. 

First off, Oscar Quinn decided to set out on his own and move to San Myshuno.  He just wasn't going anywhere while living at home. He wasn't working, just dabbling with his paintings, no love interest and most of all, he hoped that moving out would give Jordan a little kick in the pants. See, Jordan was so focused on becoming a doctor that she and Taylor haven't been talking...at all. I mean, did you noticed that serious scowl on Taylor's face in the picture above? 

Alexa has been absolutely miserable.  As much as I love Jordan, after she raised her brother and then took a job in a field that she loved—life seriously became all about herself. Well, and Ricky, always Ricky. Jordan was so self absorbed that she would frequently forego spending time with her own children to study or woohoo with Ricky. 

After a long conversation with her mom about how badly it hurt her that she never spent time with her, Jordan and Alexa quickly set about to repairing their mother/daughter relationship.


Finally seeing her dream come true and being made Chief of Staff, Jordan was finally content to take a step back and spend the last of her days seeing a new home built for the future generations. She wanted a home worth double that the old homestead.

 I, the Maker, though I was attached to the old Montgomery homestead must be going soft. I think perhaps that the Almighty has been a bad influence because I let her do this even though it wiped out most of the money that she and Elena had put aside for the future.  I'm not convinced the new generations can make the payments but with the 50,000 left after selling off rare plants that grandpa Edwin had gathered, at least I have a couple weeks for Alexa to get her career really going. 

The need for Alexa to progress in her career happened entirely too soon for my liking. I knew it was coming and yet I was so shocked and sad that I instructed Ricky to plead for his lover when death laid claim to her life. 

Alas, the grim doesn't care that Ricky can barely stand the thought of living without Jordan. In fact,

Ricky has been so beside himself that he's lost his grip on reality.  So much so that he is spending his last days with his ghostly love—in the sauna. 

Alexa knew that things were dire and she wanted to find and marry the man of her dreams before her dad took his place alongside Jordan in the afterlife.

So, much like grandma Elena, she headed out to the Narwhal nightclub where she met a hottie wearing hotpants, Lamar Choate.

Even more like grandma, their evening at the nightclub ended in the closet. Goodness, let's hope there isn't a repeat "oops" baby in this new generation!

With the evening coming to a close, Alexa threw out the crazy idea of eloping. She promised many more exciting evenings in the closet if Lamar was willing to marry that very evening.  Lamar was crazy enough to say yes. So,  in front of the very disinterested and grief-stricken Ricky; Alexa and Lamar said their vows.

The joyous evening was overshadowed by grief. Instead of healing the hurt in her father's life, Ricky succumbed to a quick bout of illness that resulted in his unfortunate and heartbreaking death. He didn't even get a chance to become a grandparent. Alexa was absolutely heartbroken.

Grief cannot keep this girl down though. She is a Montgomery and she is tough.  She doesn't have but a few weeks at most to find herself at the top of her career because at that point the savings will be depleted and that would be a detrimental blow to her Maker.  No, she must go on!

I am sad.  I hate saying goodbye to my favorite generation of Montgomery sims to date and so it is on this note that I invite you to take a look back at the phenomenal love of Jordan and Ricky Montgomery.
