Online Obituary for Janabel Triumph

Janabel Triumph passed away at 9:20 pm ST (Sim's Time) on her 84th Day of life.

Janabel was 3rd generation born in game, 4th generation of the Apocalypse descending from the Tiffani and Joshua 'Doo Rag' Triumph family.  Janabel was proceeded in death by her parents Isiah and Kaylynn Triumph, her brother Samson Triump, and her husband Randy Triumph.  She is survived by her sister Delilah Triumph and her husband Brandon, her children Paul and his wife Jill of the home, Martha and her husband Talin, Peter and his fiance Ivy and daughter Mary.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Jeremiah Triumph of the home as well as Faith and Hope (children of Martha and Talin) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Janabel's early life was loving as she was doted on by her grandfather Adam.  Losing him when she was just a child propelled Janabel into seeking relationships with other elder's of the community to attempt to regain what she lost with that relationship.  Janabel continued to grow up and as a teen made some rebellious choices that would rock her family to the core and determine the remainder of her future.  Janabel reached needs failure overload when she became an adult but a little time with the shrink helped her deal with past issues of losing Adam as well as the stresses of the choices that she had made since that time.  It didn't change anything on her path but did help her to cope.
As a teen, and later adult, Janabel took the criminal world by storm and quickly rocketed up the career path with a lot of help from her connections she made while running around with her 'Silver Hairs' as a child.  Before long Janabel ruled the underworld as The Criminal Mastermind.  A blindsided hostile takeover of the criminal underworld left Janabel out of the game and she chose to stay home and become a homemaker.

Janabel met her husband Randy at work and soon convinced him that he loved her and they were married as soon as possible after becoming adults.  Randy always expressed that he knew Janabel well, flaws and all, and loved her regardless.  Randy and Janabel had two children together and she had two others later.  Randy loved all the children as his own and stood by Janabel, despite it all until his passing.

Janabel is buried in the family cemetery behind the family home.  Mourners can come by during daylight hours but please do not disturb the family at this time.  Online condolences can be left in the comments and will be shared with the family.

Janabel's Children:

Final Moments

A Note from The Almighty Ruler of Everything:
Janabel is a once in a lifetime kind of soul. She changed the rules of almost everything. She changed the way I view my Sims, the way I interact with my Sims, she changed my play style. I've never encountered another Sim that was so hard-headed or so rebellious. I've never been in a position where I felt like I could not exert my will onto a Sim. Up to this challenge I can say that I've never really thought about giving my Sims choices or options. I've just done what I do and they are happy, at least that I what I want to believe. Janabel was different. She was different from the beginning but I was a little slow on the uptake to figure out how or even why. By the time I truly tried to get into her head it was too late to slow things down. She owned her world, for better or worse. Yes, I forced her to deal with some of the consequences of her actions but she still owned the world. Janabel changed me as a person, changed the game in ways I could never have imagined, and changed me as a Ruler. Despite all the headaches and heartaches she caused I will be forever grateful to her as well. When Grimmy came to visit my heart skipped a beat. I had feared playing her house because I knew that inevitably this day would come. I was sad of course but the 'ding dong the witch is dead' line also played through my mind. But as in all life, things must go on. I'm sure, for a while, there will be less drama in the houses. But another Sim will rise up and give us all new adventures and new takes on life. Thank you, dear readers, for allowing me to share the lives of my Sims. And thank you for loving Janabel in some small way even if it's love to hate.
Until next time, love each other (just maybe not Janabel's version of love) as tomorrow is never promised.

Tifani Triumph: Intelligence Years Part 4/Political Years Part 2

Last we left the main house Jeremiah had grown into a teen and chosen to follow a career in politics and asked Felicia to go steady.  Janabel is keeping her eye on him to ensure that he does nothing now, while he is young and reckless, that would hurt him in the future.  She fully intends for her Grandson to become the Mayor, whether she's alive to see it or not!  If nothing else Janabel has learned, bells probably created all the means to do so, to work the system.  She went scavaging and using her contacts found an old car from before the Apocaplyse for her and Jeremiah to restore together.  Cars are still pretty scarce and random but she has contacts and it will look good in a campaign ad someday.
When not working on the car Janabel tried out a few hobbies, besides attracting men, and started trying to friend the neighborhood pets.  I had to shut that down pretty quick, I mean we all remember how far off the end Adam went.

Meanwhile Paul has already maxed his career and faithfully goes to work everyday, mostly becuase he just loves his job and partly because his mother is at home all day every day.  Jill on the other hand is slowly rising the ranks of the Intelligence career.  A promotion here a promotion there she's so ready for the big one.  Skills in order, check.  Enough friends, check.  Off to work she goes.  And comes home without a promotion.  She checks her performance meter, green, skills still in place but friendship, oh holy friendships.

Jill:  Janabel what did you do!?!
Paul:  Jill, please not now.  I need to tell you something.
Jill:  Not this time Paul, that crocheted old bag really did it this time.  What did she do, invite every single friend she had over and then ostrasize then all at the same time?  That...
Paul:  Jill, Janabel passed away today.
Jill:  Not now Paul! Wait? What?!?
Paul: Mom passed away just a little bit ago.  Jeremiah is taking it really hard so if you could just not yell right now that would be stellar.
Jill:  How dare she, she knew how important this promotion was!  Only thinking of herself.
Paul:  Jill!  Do you hear yourself?
Jill:  *sits down in a heap on the floor* What are we going to do now?  She's really gone?

You can find out more about Janabel's passing by reading here --> Janabel's Obituary.

The very next day Paul and Jill both aged to elder.  Jill is still upset about not getting her promotion but she did get a little teary-eyed eating some leftovers from the fridge that were prepared by Janabel.  I guess that's something.  The woman didn't actually leave a large legacy of love behind.

A quick look back at Janabel's life.

Tifani Triumph: Other Houses 2

Abigail's House

Last we left Abigail's home Samson had passed away, Kristy wanted to fall in love again, baby John (sorry forgot to share that with you last time), and Abigail wanted to have yet another child!  Apparently I'm a total glutton for punishment and since Abigail and Clarence both wanted a baby I let them try.  And she's pregnant again, heaven help us all if it's twins again!  The twins aged to child and John to a toddler.  The very next day baby Eden was born.  Needless to say Chaos actually rules this household for now!
Before long Eden grows up to toddler, John ages to a child, and Abigail spins the want for yet another baby!

Shortly after the birthday's Kristy passed away.  She was a wonderful wife to Samson, an amazing mom to Abigail, and there has never been a better Grandma.  She worked up to the end but was all there all the time for her grandchildren.  Need potty trained?  Grandma's got it!  Need to learn to walk, talk, nursery rhymes?  Grandma's got it!  With the expanding family and utter chaos in charge Kristy will be very missed within this household.  However, Samson showed up to greet her and escort her to the other side.
You you guessed it....let's get out of this house before they drive me plum batty!

Delilah's House
I have to tell you, after the chaos of Abigail's house going into Delilah's home is refreshing.  One child, no drama.  Hello...relaxing time is had by all?

This week we find Samuel aging to a teenager and Brandon aging to elder.  And that's where the drama starts...
Ok, so this isn't quite the drama free home I have always touted it to be.  This week the family put me to shame.  Remember back in the days before Delilah and Brandon got married?  Remember how they agreed to live as roommates and not limit each others freedom?  Remember how Delilah had a fling with Amin?  Amin, who now works with Brandon and whom Brandon insists on bringing home with him every. single. day. despite not needing friends.  Amin who I try desperately to catch every day and have Brandon gossip and say goodbye before he can come in the house.  Well, no this day.  Nope,, couldn't stop him this time.  Amin sees Delilah and Brandon have a tender moment.  No massive make out or anything, honestly still not sure what set him off.  Next thing I know Delilah has a memory of cheating on Amin.  But it gets worse, way worse.  So Delilah tries to smooth talk Amin so he doesn't go all postal on her and start kicking the trash can or shooting death glares at the house a la Crew Cut back in Tifani's day.  And lo and behold Brandon considers that cheating and now she's got a cheating member with Brandon too!  Poor girl can't win.  Though if Brandon wouldn't bring the bugger home each day it could have completely been avoided!  Brandon and Delilah get into a slap fight, Delilah gets Amin out of the house as quickly as simmingly possible and immediately starts to repair her love with Brandon.  He didn't hate her, just didn't love her anymore.  A few hugs, kisses, make outs and a woohoo later they were good as gold again...crisis averted, this time.

Martha's House
Perhaps we can find a non-drama time by visiting Martha's house.  Maybe?  Is it going to be all drama all the time or what? The twins grew from toddler's into child.  It was pretty uneventful except that Faith did a slight merge with the door.  I don't know what it is with me and glitches but it seems to be as consist as twins these days :S
Mary grew up to an adult and finally felt ready to act on her long term crush on the upstairs neighbor Shea Johnston.  Shea was an adult when she first saw him in her teens.  She encouraged a friendship which grew to a best friendship.  Now that she's adult and confesses her attraction will he feel the same way or always see her as the clingy little weird teenager that found ways to capture his time and attention?
Definitely sparks are a flying.  Next we visit Mary will be in her own place, we'll see if Shea accepts her proposal for marriage and joins her there...

Peter's House
Peter is trying to make life a little easier for me, I hope.  He and Ivy are cozily living in the apartment across the hall, engagement accepted and just waiting for the perfect time to tie the knot.  After some debate and tossing around ideas it was decided that it as of upmost importance that his family be part of the celebration.  So, they invited themselves across the hall and exchanged vows at Martha's place.
After the vows were exchanged they said goodbye to the family and made their way back across the hall to start their honeymoon.  Both instantly spun the baby want once the vows were exchanged and I did my best to help them out...
So help me gravy if they have twins I'm going to just burn the game down!

*Statistically there are 6 total children in this generation.  Of those 6 only 3 have had children thus far.  Of those 3, 2 had twins.  Samuel is not yet old enough, Peter and Ivy are currently expecting, and Mary is just on the brink of possibility.  Statistically the twin ratio of this generation is going to drive me over the buttons!*

Until next time my dears....

Tifani Triumph: Other Houses

Next door to the main house Samson has official handed over the reins to Abigail. She's happily married to Clarence and are excitedly expecting a baby.  The pregnancy itself was uneventful however the birth was anything but.
Why yes twins!  Meet Isabella and Issac Triumph, the first twins of the Apocalypse.  Isabella is the first born on the left bottom side with her Daddy the night she was born and Issac on the bottom right with Gramps Samson (with the Doo Rag nose!) after perhaps his 10th million bottle.
However, it was shortly after this moment that things went sideways, and not just for the family.  Apparently the home I lovingly chose for them was pre-seasons when meant it was not insulated to protect against an apocalyptic winter.  And the babies are freezing with warnings that they would be taken.  Abigail and Clarence are turning blue while laying in bed.  I try to fix the house unsuccessfully so decide it's time to just get a different house.  I mean who doesn't love to move twice in one week!  Right?  So I went to bulldoze the house, clicked through the little popup (without reading it) and went on my merry way.  Placed the new house, moved the other houses around it so that it would all fit in a nice little neighborhood line, and went to retrieve my family from the bin.  They weren't there.  Panic.  Total and complete panic.  The babies, just gone, not even a chance to screw up their lives on their own you know.  Goggle searches don't help.  Let's try to reload the game, maybe just a hangup or something you know?  Nope, not there.  Perhaps should have read that popup box, so 'pretend' to bulldoze another house just so I can see the popup and try to figure out what happened.  Basically, I didn't delete the family or even bulldoze the house like I thought I did.  Nope, if I had paid any attention at all (please read above there I didn't even read the popup for the sake of tomatoes) I would have realized I had too many houses in the neighborhood.  I just moved it out of the way with the family still safely, if not frozenly, still inside.  Move family, bulldoze house, relocate family to new again lovingly chosen home.  Crisis averted.  Kids can now grow up to be ... something.  It's not really like they matter all that much, they can't unlock careers but still.  They deserve a chance to screw things up for themselves like any other sim.  And bells, they are historical remember.
Crisis averted and back to the grind.  Abigail and Clarence both immediately popped the want to have a baby and Kristy wants another grand so bad she can taste it.  You'd think they'd all be exhausted going up and down the stairs all day to get those poor babies bottles they don't want but nope, baby fever for everyone but Samson.
And yes, she was pregnant with babies still in the cradle.  Crazy woman (or crazy me for allowing it?) During her pregnancy the twins aged up to toddler and they were stinkers about it!  The one thing I don't 'love' about Sims 2 is that infants can drag out that first birthday like taking a horse drawn carriage to the west coast.  Without the ability to purchase and use the birthday cakes it's like pulling teeth to get them to age.  Issac aged first and his older sister joined him the next morning (seriously!).  Poor Abigail was so busy eating everything that resembled food and was so exhausted all the time.  It took her magical mommy touch to get each baby to age.  Samson held Isabella for hours with nothing.  With exhaustion in full swing for everyone in the house Abigail went into labor in the bathroom (of course).  And immediately spun the want for yet another baby!

Samson was blessed to have time with his 3 much wanted and overly loved grandchildren before his date with Grim came, very unexpectedly I might add.  Of course, being the Platinum Sim he was he went out in style with Hula Dancers and all.  Samson was a very good man, perhaps a great man.  The first sim since the apocalypse that was able to leave a family home and strike out on his own he took responsibility for his sister Delilah as well in order to attempt to shield her from what Janabel was becoming.  A 'spare' child he went on to do amazing things.  He love his wife to the very end and unlike his siblings was always faithful.  He was an amazing dad to Abigail and even became besties with Clarence before Clarence even realized he could love Abigail.  He was a pioneer and for that he will always be remembered.
Part of me feels like I should just stop here.  Forget the rest.  But alas, even in death life moves on...even for Kristy.
Yup, he had literally just died in this very room, the urn sitting by the way and she spins the want to fall in love...I should have known that the prim, respectable Kristy went out the window when she aged to elder and had her little elder life crisis.  Personally, I think she just doesn't know how to be alone.

After all that it was nice to pop into Delilah's house where not a lot of stuff was going on.  Samuel is a difficult to keep happy child.  He fun needs are so droopy that it's like a bowling ball dropped from the Sear's Tower (I know it changed names but I have no idea what the new name is, it was Sear's when I was there...I make the rules here people!  Focus!).  He has a toy box that he spends literally hours each day at just to keep out of the red.

If I had been able to zoom in any closer you would definitely see the generational nose is ready to sprout as well!  When we return to this family it will be his birthday and I can't wait to see what kind of teen Samuel is going to become, hopefully a happier one!  Delilah and Brandon are still in love, which makes me happy.  She is spinning so many wants to woohoo with 5 different sims that I worry she's fall back and cheat in her elder years.  She's a stay at home mom to her boy so has lots of hours in the day to try to fill.  She's maxed all her skills, knows everything the bookcase and teach her and with Samuel growing up soon I worry she'll run out of distractions and fall prey to her old behaviors.

Last stop on this house tour is Martha with her siblings and new husband Talin.  it wasn't long before Martha discovered she was pregnant and everyone was excited.  Her pregnancy was a complete breeze without even morning sickness.  One evening, without even knocking!, Janabel breezes through the door.  I'm still trying to figure out how she got through the gate, perhaps road her broom through it?

Martha:  Mother, what are you doing here?
Janabel:  Came to see the boy next door you decided to run away with.
Martha:  Mother!  Please.  I didn't run away and I will introduce you to Talin if you would like.
Janabel:  I see him over there.  I can introduce myself if I so chose thank you.  I see you let yourself get pregnant.  Did She mess with you too?
Martha:  If by She you mean Fizzy then no.  She's not like that at all.  We chose to start a family.  You know, family.  Mom, Dad, kids, love, attention.  The important things.
Janabel:  Yes yes another little Cretin to run around.  Have you met Jeremiah yet?  Your brother's heir?
Martha:  Not yet.  It's been a bit busy with trying to ensure that Peter and Mary get the best start to life you know.  And meeting Talin.  I figured I'd get the family together after the baby gets here.
Janabel:  Whatever suits you dear.
Martha:  What do you want Mother?
Janabel:  Nothing dear, just checking to make sure you are happy.  Can't a mother check on her children?  Oh, I must run now.  See you soon?
Martha:  Goodbye Mother.

Well that was awkward.  Mary was off to work and Peter was busying trying to to get Ivy to fall for him.  Ivy was his first kiss, his first love, and while she turned his offer to go steady down he knows that someday she'll agree to marry him.  Peter grew up to adult and deepened his relationship with Ivy but has chosen to way to propose until he has moved into his own place.

Meet Faith and Hope, the second set of twins born post-Apocalypse!  Faith is the oldest and is shown on the left hand side while Hope was born second and is shown on the right hand side.  Mom and Dad as well as Aunt and Uncle doted on them and ensured no less than 1000 bottles were fed during their infant years.  The twins grew up and the chaos that is toddler twins is in full swing!  Peter does his part but he really is ready to start his own future, his own family and chooses to move into the apartment across the hall.  Talin's old place.
 She Said YES~
Until next time...

The Strattons (3)

This is just a quick little update. The last post left us with one founder gone, Karly and Zachary becoming teens and a legit couple, a burning house, and a whole bunch of sobbing sims.
Now, Jude has aged to teen.

Brady met with Grimmy again. But Cara's pleading bought him a second chance.

Karly and Zachary became adults, and GOT MARRIED!
Karly joined the medical career like her grandmother and mother. And I've decided all females, natural born related to the founders AND females that marry into this family will follow the medical career path. Kind of because I REALLY like going to work with my medical sims.
Then it wasn't long before, Grimmy took Brady away for good.

And coming in the next post:
Find out if Karly has a boy, or if we have yet another female heir, and what she has decided to name Baby Lancaster!
