Tifani Triumph: The Medical Years Part 4/The Culinary Career Part 1

Last we met Adam was struggling with his decision to follow his dad into the medical field and sadly Tifani succumbed to the beast we must all face ... old age, and her date with Grim.  I wasn't ready to see her go just yet but I believe in the strong legacy she left for future generations.  General Triumph definitely left her mark on civilization, and her family.

One last look. :(

Adam jumps feet first into his teen career in medicine and quickly works his way up the ladder until maxing out as an EMT.  Doo Rag on the other hand is finding small gains and losses and at one point is the same job title (again) as his son.  Talk about an ego blow!  Adam however is trying to make the most of his teen years and works hard to develop his skills (hello sink bath to the rescue!) and actually develops a tiny bit of a social life.  A delightful young woman named Sophie works with him and chose to come over after work one day.  A little chatting, a bit of flirting and next thing I know she has accepted Adam's proposal to go steady!  I worry that with one day of interaction she may not have the morals this family needs.

Adam:  Hey Fizzy?
Me: Yes dear?
Adam:  Do you remember Sophie?
Me: Yes dear.
Adam: That's the woman I'm going to marry.
Me: Really?  The first person you meet?
Adam:  Really.
Me:  Why?
Adam:  There's just something about her.  She's smart and interesting and we just really get along.
Me: Yea, I saw that.  Moved a little um, fast there didn't ya?
Adam:  Trust me, I know.  Watch for it.  Red hearts are coming!
Me: You are your mother's child.
 

Doo Rag continues to have a two steps forward one step back experience with his career.  However he is making small progresses.  We have shared a few more pep talks but not quite ready to give him his name back.




Meanwhile, Adam continues on his quest to adulthood, with Sophie by his side.  Though maturity may not be his strong suit quite yet...

Told ya!

Adam chooses to have Sophie age with him and immediately proposes engagement and requests she move into the house. Sophie is a fortune sim who rolled a secondary of pleasure.  That should be interesting!  She had a few decent skills but we have bigger issues at hand...

Me: Sophie, we need to talk.
Sophie:  What's up?  Isn't Adam just a dream...
Me:  Head in the game Soph, head in the game.  Hormone check.  Let's talk about career choices.
Sophie:  I have one.
Me: That's to problem.  What happened to the sweet girl that worked at the hospital with Adam?
Sophie:  I got a better offer.
Me:  And have you shared this 'offer' with Adam?
Sophie:  Not yet, why?
Me:  Knowing Adam like you do what do you think he would say about your choice to be a criminal?  Knowing how hard his mom worked to bring a measure of safety to this community after the fallout.
Sophie: I'm sure he would appreciate how I can help support our family and an insider knowledge of what is happening in our society.
Me: Seriously?  I don't even buy that.
Sophie:  He loves me.  You don't.
Me:  Sophie, here's how it works.  I am the  Almighty Ruler of Everything.  If you want to stand a chance in this family you will listen and listen close.  And then you will do everything I tell you to.  Down to the letter.
Sophie:   Yea?
Me:  In order to continue to secure this community for an chance of a future there needs to be someone to emerge as a culinary star.  In order to secure the future, the legacy of this family that you have chosen to join, you will march yourself down to the Soup Kitchen.  You will apply for any job they offer you.  You will work your hiney off to become a Celebrity Chef.  Do I make myself clear young lady?
Sophie: If you say so.
Me:  For the love of all that is tomatoes, do it for Adam.  Do it because you love him.  Do it because he loves you.  Do it for your future children.  Find a reason and do it.  Not because I said so, that won't guide you through the rough parts.  Do it for your family.  Do it for coffee woman!

“Hunger is the best spice.”
The gas lines and power grid have been severely damaged. Running a gas stove or electric appliance carries too much of a risk. The radiation levels are too high to risk using a microwave either. Food is scarce. The quality of the food the Sims can get is very poor and can bring illness to some. Coffee is now scarce in the region due to supply cuts. Fresh food is non-existent.

 

 Shortly after Sophie makes the right choice and secures herself a career as a fast food shift manager she discovers she is pregnant and her and Adam choose to tie the knot.

Until next time...will Doo Rag actually finish his career ambitions?  Will Sophie make it in the culinary career or revert to her life of crime?  What about poor Fetch, will she ever complete her career?
