Seems as though last we met Adam had just wed Sophie, after a brief discussion between her and I about career choices. Did you see the way she tried to backtalk me? What is with this generation? I would have pegged her for a Tifani generation, you know actually had stuff at their fingertips, not a generation that grew up struggling. Perhaps it's an age thing and not a society thing? Or more likely perhaps is a raisin' thing, coming from parents of the entitled generation. Moving on before my Almighty blood boils again.
Let's get to Fetch before she gets lost in the shuffle of human life. Despite a few setbacks of her own, thanks chance cards, she did well of securing her place in the regarded Pet Corps unlocking the security pet career. Not long after she aged to elder and later passed away as a very very loved, well cared dog. The first successful stray rescue of the apocalypse, Fetch will too go down in history.

Once a family pet is inducted to the Pet Corps, Sims begin to rid themselves of paranoia and get in the habit of sleeping soundly at night. The Service Pet restriction is lifted.Adam and Doo Rag continue their career climb together in the medical field. Doo Rag stays even with his son, occasionally pulling a promotion a day or so before Adam. I've had him diligently work on his skills as he neared elder so that there is an opportunity to still prove himself and complete his somewhat begrudgingly chosen career path. Along the way Doo Rag ages to elder but continues to take it in stride and even continues to choose to go to work everyday.

Not so excited that he actually gets off his duff and stops reading his book to try and use some of his medical training to help out mind you! More lost brownie points.
Meet baby Isiah, getting his first bath in the sink.
Isiah grows quickly to toddler and then child. He does actually manage to be potty trained and learn to walk, unlike his father, but lack of hygiene continues to plague him as his father before him. Any further learning is hampered due to the fact that he just can't wash his hands enough. I worry about chronic handwashing leading to other issues in adulthood.

Oh, did forget to mention that after a respectable grieving period Doo (as Isiah calls his Grandpa) had a small fling with a gal from work. They got themselves some red hearts and all but I put my foot down about her moving in. Rules and all. I might have been called some names...again. But speaking of Doo Rag, not sure if it was the spending time with his son or the fling but he sailed right on through the later half of his career and the old guy really did it. He pulled it off. Glad I didn't bet real money against him. Doo Rag, sorry Joshua became the Chief of Staff at the local hospital. I don't know who was more proud him or me. Especially since he was an elder and I could no longer control his actions.

Once a leader in the medical field emerges from the family and leads the Red Cross restoration effort, clean running water is restored to the region. Supplies of medicine and contraceptives are now available to the people who need it. The Medical restrictions are lifted.

Adam now has a big choice to make. He's so close to also maxing out the medical career but he is still youngish. There's no need for a second Chief of Staff in the community and the only other career option left in the first tier of the challenge is currently being pursued, albeit somewhat reluctantly, by his wife. Adam choose to believe and have faith in Sophie and chooses to start pursuing a tier two career. After careful research and consideration he choose to apply for a job in the natural sciences.
“Why do they call it nuclear winter? Because everything is dead. The snow you see is toxic ash.”Upon making his decision Adam immediately goes to the newly constructed Research Laboratory and is accepted in the career as a Rogue Botanist. A little low on the totem pole for someone with his medical experience however the two careers don't really translate over to each other a lot. On his first day of work Adam pops a chance card. One correct decision and he is immediately rocketed to the Ecological Guru position and immediately unlocks the career. On his FIRST day of work!
Any and all plant life in the region is dead. Nothing grows anymore. Natural and organic food is non-existent. With no plants to hold the soil together, the whole region is plagued with dust storms that block out the sun and whip across the land.
Once a brilliant Natural Scientist emerges from the family, a plant serum is invented that lets plants use toxic ash as fertilizer without making the plant itself toxic. With this serum in wide supply, the region begins to return to life. Food can actually be grown again and people can have lawns. With plants once again anchoring the soil, the raging dust storms cease and the sky can once again be seen. All Natural Science restrictions are lifted.Meanwhile Isiah has reached his birthday and grows into a teenager...in the bathroom. Definitely Doo Rag's kin.
Just an opinion. Assuming that Sophie maxes out the culinary career tier two jobs become available. Obviously Natural Science is out the window (go Adam!). His options become Architecture, Business, Law, Politics, Education, Journalism, Intelligence, Law Enforcement, Oceanography, and Science. If you had a say what would you pick for him?
