Life of Kessie - Finding Purpose

It's been ten months since the fallout with Connor. Ten long, miserable months. I have not left my house other than to work, which I'm okay with, I have to be honest, y'all - I'm miserable! Connor is now with Fiona (undoubtedly cheating on her as well) and his career has taken a nosedive after the countless scandals. He has tried to call, even left flowers. I ignored them and returned every single gift to sender. On a plus side, Tiffany finally moved into her home and her residency is going fantastic! She has a great boyfriend, who I have yet to meet because I didn't want to be around. She refuses to tell me who he is, and wants me to see for myself.

In typical bestie fashion, Tiffany came over to snap me out of my self-imposed exile. She was sick and tired of me wallowing in my own self-pity and she was dragging me out of the house. I really love her - she always gives it to me straight. 

Karaoke time? Sure! We rocked the bar with out tunes, thought some were off key. It felt really good to leave the house with Tiffany, but I know she can't be there for me always. I'm just happy that she did this. 

She told me to wait at the bar while she was meeting her boyfriend outside. Finally, I get to meet this mystery person. I'm happy for her, but I'm still sad about my own predicament. When she brought him in, my jaw dropped! I was shocked and never thought in a million years that these two would actually be a couple......

Tiffany is in a relationship with Enrique Rodriguez!!!! Oh. Em. Gee! Is this why she didn't tell me? Because she's with a member of the Sunset Valley "You can't sit with us" Club? Apparently, they became an item after college. It's super sweet to see Tiffany and Enrique happy...together. We played catch up, telling me that Trav is now starting quarterback for the Sim City Rams, so he travels a lot. I also found out that Enrique is a music producer, which is awesome for him. He is usually on tour but he flew in for the week to see Tiff. He also gave me a heads up about Pierce, since he moved from Sunset Valley to start his own restaurant, which he named Chaxeau. I guess I did miss a lot because I didn't know Pierce moved to Beacon Bay. I guess avoiding everyone's calls came at a price. Life moved on, and I decided to stay still. I soon became a third wheel, so I went home while Tiff and Enrique spent quality time together.

Tonight was great and full of surprises. Of course Tiff and I had to take a photo together. I promised not to be a stranger and I should be hearing their wedding bells soon....I hope. Time for me to dust myself off, and get back to living my life!

Life of Kessie - Ignorance is Bliss (Part III)

I had to get out of the house. It's been three weeks since I secluded myself in my own private world. My boss was nice enough to give me all the time that I needed since she saw everything that happened. I thought everyone would be pointing fingers and whispering. While some people did laugh and make things worse, many people were supportive of me. Jamie Jolina invited Tiffany and I to her small get-together, and I was dragged there. It was pretty good, although I wanted to jump in that pool and stay the entire time. Willow Hennessy was a great help as well, letting me know where I could find Little Miss Fiona on her off time. Of course, Connor hasn't been seen or heard from. He's under investigation with everything going on. The cheating, the taxes, and the pay cuts to schools. So while he's hiding out, I want answers from Fiona!

I had to confront this homewrecker in public! I asked for her reasons to do what she did, along with Connor. Fiona was unapologetic and let me know that Connor never loved me. He. Never. Loved. Me. He only dated me because he felt sorry for me since I didn't have anyone, especially any family. He only dated me because it looked good for his political career to have a hot wife. He only dated me because. 

Because.

Be. Cause

Fiona also told me that the reason why he hasn't dumped me yet was because he was simply waiting for the money scandal to blow over, and her job was to make it seem that I left him. She was going to feed lies to the press. She said that he always wanted her and she will have him. (Gee, I wonder where I heard THAT from?) I asked how long has it been going on. She walked away, telling me to ask Connor. Oh, I most certainly will! 

Well, look who decided to show his face? I confronted him about everything. The scandal, the arguing, and the cheating. Most importantly, I told him about my confrontation with Fiona and everything she said. His response? 

CN: Kessie, you don't have to do this. I hate seeing you in this much pain, so how about we just skip to the good part, eh?

NO! This is my story. Good, bad and ugly, this is my story to tell. Of course, you are the wonderful person who created me....but I have to get this off of my chest so I can move on. 

CN: Um...you want me to share everything?

Yup! 

CN: Are you sure? Because I have your ending right here, and we can skip rig-

NO!! Human, you will NOT do this to me, or the readers of my life. We will talk later.

CN: Okay, I tried to warn you. Shall I throw up a disclaimer that the rest of this story is sensitive, so if you have small children....don't allow them to read it? Or, just skip this entirely because Part IV is the last one and we're moving forward?

You already did. Now, back to finishing my story, Human! But, I have a question. Will I be okay?

CN: Eh, more or less. It depends on you. 

Okay, Now that my Cryptic Creator is finished, on with the rest of this. 

He berated me for talking to Fiona! WHAAAT? He didn't deny anything. He even confirmed that he and Fiona were a thing when I was away at college. I abandoned him when he needed me, so he says. He learned to love me when we moved in together. After all I did for him and sacrificed for him, he springs this on me? He said that he was only here to take a shower and pack up his things to move in with Fiona. He dumped me.

OH REALLY? After everything we had? After two years? After I had to deal with my everyday life being fodder for tabloids? After I almost lost my prized career.....twice because of you and your antics? You're dumping me? I was nothing but faithful to him and this is the thanks I get? I'm yelling all of this and he just laughed. So, I decided to leave him with a parting gift for his happily ever after with Fiona....

It felt great! He held his face, walked away to get dressed, and left. He told me that he'll send his security detail to pick up his belongings. He was gone.

Gone.

The love of my life, the one I wanted to spend forever and a day with....belonged to someone else. Sure, the slap felt great, but inside...I was done. I was in shambles. I was...

Gone. 

So everyone, this is the end of Kessie and Connor. It wasn't meant to be, I guess. I think I'm going to be alone for a while, this hurts really really bad. I'm just going to focus on my career and stay away from dating!

Tifani Triumph: Science Years Part 3/Oceanography Years Part 1

Charles has a love interest, and with not much time left for Jeremiah it's important for him to focus on his future.  Jeremiah has meditating to look forward too, and not much else.  Until Grimmy comes to visit that is.

Charles has three days left to adult and a romance to try and solidify with Amber.  Not that it matters as (this is a total Almighty side of frustration) in Sims 2 once they reach adult the keep friend status but have to rekindle to romance.

She finally accepted his proposal to go steady.  Ah, young love.

Charles is counting the days until he's a 'grown up' and Jeremiah is marking the days to his final date this side of the grave.  The questions is...which will come first.  The answer is the exact same time.  While Charles is in the drive way growing up Jeremiah is in the living room meeting Grimmy.

Charles the Scientist in training who chooses to dress like a lumber jack.  Go figure.  Meanwhile in the house...

Jeremiah was the only child of Paul and Jill.  The only grandchild that Janabel took an interest in.  He was smitten by his Jana from day 1 and she helped mold him into the intelligent man he became.  He provided the opportunity for all sims to enjoy vacation days, retirement, and maternity leave.  Along with, of course, a political system to govern.  He fell in love with Felicia when they were still teens and spent his lifetime by her side.  Together they had 3 amazing children, two of which are the first to enjoy college for the first time since Tifani came home after getting her degree.  Charles has taken the reigns of the household and is ready to continue to secure the legacy for future generations.

Now that Charles is an adult, and the future of the family is firmly in his hands, he has little time to focus on mourning before ensuring his own part in the legacy...Amber.

The following day he invited her over, fell back in love, got engaged and married.  Mostly in the kitchen...of course.

Yes, yes you know what time it is.

Me:  Amber, got a moment?
Amber:  Hey Fizzy.  Sure?  Which talk exactly is this.
Me:  (Thank you Charles!) The career talk.  Look Amber, I'm gonna be honest with you.  The list is dwindling.  You really have a choice between Journalism or Oceanography.  Whatever you don't choose your heir will have too.  Then we can move to the next tier of careers.  Sorry, TMI I'm sure.
Amber:  *blinks* TMI?
Me:  Too Much Information.  Sorry.  Anyway, careers.  Here's the info on the two available for you.  Let me know which you choose.

 Amber settled into her career fairly smoothly and achieved one promotion right away.  Charles has achieved a few promotions to and is sailing right along on his goal to master Science for all Simkind.

Scarlet Alexa: Generation 8 Chapter 4

Our last chapter left off with our two science-nerds consummating their marriage in outer space.

All I know is, Ariana and James have set some pretty high standards for a geeky first woohoo. 

This is for all of you science-freaks...don't settle for candles or closets for that first time together.

Nope, you want to be among the stars.  If you can't do it in space, don't do it at all. 

Their attempts to have a baby was a success. Generation 10 is on it's way!  James was so very excited when Ariana broke the news.

The pregnancy for Ariana was very uneventful and before I knew it, she was in labor.  Something was wrong though...this wasn't right.  She called for James and requested that he take her to the hospital.

James got her to the hospital in record time. Dr. Mirabella Grimm (who I hear is one of the best) was on call to access her and ultimately it was decided that if the lives of mom and baby both were to be spared, an emergency cesarean was needed.

As this was an emergency surgery and not a routine delivery, James was not allowed in the delivery room.  I really thought he was going to go crazy waiting to hear  if Ariana and the baby were okay.  Marriage for them had been so fast but already, the thought of losing her was more than he could bear.

The last thing Ariana remembered was the erratic beeping of the heart monitors and the sound of the doctor telling her that her baby would be born soon.  Then, all went black.

Glenna Elise made her way earthside and was placed into the arms of her loving father.  Things for Ariana were still not looking good and James never left her side. His wife and daughter were all that mattered.

Day by day he sat by her bedside and held her hand, brushed her hair from her face and cared for little Glenna.

"That's your mama," he would say as he lifted Glenna to his shoulder so she could get a glance.  Then he would promise her that mama would certainly get better and they would be a family.

Three weeks after giving birth, Ariana opened her eyes.  She was ready to go home to meet her little girl.   Little Glenna had already made the trip home where Grammy Scarlet and her daddy had been taking turns caring for her.

A daughter—Ariana had a daughter. She had been so convinced that she was going to have a little boy.  The moment that Ariana walked into the nursery and her mom handed her baby Glenna, she knew that her life would never be the same. This precious baby girl held her heart and all of her hopes for the future. Nothing could have prepared her for the love she felt at that moment.

Ariana had grappled with death and fought her way back to her home—her family. The support and love of her family had gotten her through some of the darkest hours and now she was ready to take the responsibility of raising the next generation of Montgomery children into adulthood.

Scarlet, though not yet elder, knows her daughter is ready to take her places as the heir of the Montgomery family.  At 4:30 P.M. on  February 25, Scarlet signed over all deeds and titles to the Montgomery home and relinquished the title of matriarch to beautiful daughter, Ariana.   She has promised to be by her daughter's side, to aid her in any way that she can in training Glenna to survive the apocalyptic doom that James and Ariana fear is in the near future. 

It is a race against the clock. Will James and Ariana succeed in preparing their daughter for the apocalypse? Will there even be an apocalypse? Only time will tell...

Life of Kessie - Ignorance is Bliss (Part II)

Hey, everybody. I had to grab my composure because this pain is so unbearable. The next part of this, I wouldn't wish on anyone. Well, I might as well get it over with. 

My favorite person in the whole wide world came to stay with me for a while. Tiffany Engels!!! She finished her residency and moved to Sunset Valley to work at the hospital. Can you say,"YAAAS!!"? She found a house (and apparently a boyfriend....who she won't give any details on!) and she's only going to stay with me until she finally gets the keys. Of course, Connor didn't approve of the arrangement. We have four bedrooms, I am sure we can put up my best friend for a couple of weeks. As usual, Connor gets infuriated and leaves. I am so sick of the fighting and him storming out every single time he doesn't get his way. 

Later on that night, I decided to catch up on some Simbook and catch up with old friends. That, and a little bit of Sunset Valley gossip. I know I shouldn't be a gossip hound, but I slowly regretted my decision once I clicked to SVG's fan page

The status headline, "Mayor Caught Cheating on More Than His Taxes". My first instinct was to log off. In my heart, I knew I should have logged off and forgot about the whole thing. I'm sure I read that title wrong. Maybe it was the mayor of Isla Cove? Perhaps the mayor of Twinbrook, who is always in trouble. My curiosity got the best of me and I kept scrolling.

 Connor once again with Fiona McIrish! I asked him time and time again about their "relationship" and he always told me that it was nothing. Always told me that I'm thinking way too much. Always stressing how I needed to be by his side so I wouldn't ask him stupid questions.

This was photo that made my heart drop. I KNEW IT!!! This dirty, no-good, scandalous idiot cheated on me. C-H-E-A-T-E-D! My heart at this point was shattered into a million pieces. This was undeniable proof! No more assumptions and accusations. I see this with my own two eyes, and I don't know whether to scream or die! At this point, I can go for both. Him and that......wench! I knew something was up when he immediately hired her after they both left the newspaper. I assumed they were old friends and trusted him.

Trust. 

Trusted.

Completely.

And to be so brazen to do this outside? He clearly has no respect for himself, Fiona or me! He definitely has zero respect for me, but at least I now know why he's been disappearing. Really, Connor? Outside? Public Woohoo? Seriously? You could have taken her to the Inn, you dog! To make it completely worse, this became NEWS!!! It was all over the television here. Guess who actually watched it as this little romp went LIVE on SVNN? 

I. Officially. Hate. My. Life! Everyone knows we were getting married in two months. EVERYONE! I am humiliated and devastated. I'm quitting my job until this blows over. This can't possibly get any worse....wait!

Life of Kessie - Ignorance is Bliss (Part I)

Hey, everyone. I know what you're thinking. Why am I so sad? I have a mouth, and can not scream. My dream turned into a nightmare over the course of a year, and I'm still trying to wrap my brain around.....how? Why?

Let's start at the beginning. A few months after Connor won his election bid to become Mayor of Sunset Valley, he decided to propose to me. Of course, I accepted as I finally received my dream. My fiance is now Mayor, I'm moving up at Corsican Bistro and will become top Sous Chef after a small setback. Our dreams were finally coming true.

 Guess who finally made Sous Chef? I did!!! Yes, I also have my own show on SimTV which comes on every weekend. I'm not too big on being in television, but as long as people can enjoy my food, I'm okay with it. Connor discussed and stress to me that I needed to drop the show, which I did. He also didn't like the fact that I was still working at Corsican, but I loved it there. He demanded that I quit, as the wife of the Mayor should NOT be working a job. Um....a job? Sir, it's a career, MY CAREER that you were fully aware of before we even became a couple. I'm not quitting!  Somehow, I knew I was going to regret my decision.

As soon as he was sworn in, Connor came home few and far between. I know it's his job, but one day home will not kill the man. The more he came in, the angrier he became. I would do everything I could to keep him happy, and it was for nothing! He would storm out late at night, sometimes going to work from wherever he was the night before. I heard through and gossip vine that Sunset Valley is going through a scandal, something huge. I asked Connor about it, and he told me to mind my business and how it will never concern me. Um......RUDE? So after yet another argument, he went out......AGAIN! I was not about to take this and wimper, so I decided to follow him.

 Now ladies and gentlemen, I wish I could take back what I saw. I saw him in front of the Landgraab Hotel, with his assistant, Fiona McIrish. Why a hotel? Yes, I was being a bit naive....okay, I was stupid! I knew Connor loved me, but his behavior was a little odd. Everyone gets stressed out, right? He wouldn't ask me to marry him and do this, would he?

How dumb I turned out to be. :( To be continued.

Scarlet Alexa: Generation 8 Chapter 3

Things are finally heating up for Scarlet and her boy toy. Gosh, I can't even remember his name. I'll pull a tactic of the Almighty and call him Red Hat.

Seeing her mother so lonely and looking for love in all the wrong places has left Ariana wanting true love for herself.   Love for Ariana is complicated though.  While she longs to find the man that will make her heart skip beats, she also hopes for a man that is her intellectual equal. In fact—she will settle for nothing less. Ariana needs a man that doesn't take her intuition as paranoia. She needs someone that is open to the idea of a conspiracy theory without being completely insane.  More importantly, she needs a man  who is willing to have children right away so that they can begin training up the most brilliant mind that simkind has ever known.  If the Montgomery family is meant to survive the end of the world, it's going to take a dedicated mother and father educating, training and preparing their child. 

Meet James Bloodworth.  He's a nerd brain and a genius. He's well bred and a good choice as a life partner.  He doesn't think that Ariana is crazy. In fact, as an agency clerk for the Sims Intelligence Agency...he's heard things.  Like Ariana, logic rules him and while he knows something is going amiss in the world, he is neither paranoid nor delusional.  James Bloodworth is as far from insane as a person can get. He's smart and like Ariana, he wants to insure the future of the world.  A marriage to a smart woman like Ariana only makes sense.

Though not logical, both Ariana and James are relieved that they seem to have a lot of physical chemistry together because of course it would be altogether terrible to feel absolutely nothing for the person you are planning to share a life with.  The spark is there. It may not be a roaring inferno but the spark is most definitely there. The two decide they have no time to waste and made plans to return home to elope—immediately.

Which is exactly what they did.  After showing him around the home and introducing him to her mother, Ariana shared her first kiss with James.  This may be a marriage of mind and matter but Ariana and James are both smitten with the idea of falling hopelessly in love with one another. Nothing would make them happier than being finding love in the one person who gives the brightest hope for the future. 

Though a logical sim, Ariana knows that love is still the most powerful force on earth and she was determined not only to have the best mate but also to have love. So, she presented James with a very special ring as a token of engagement. This ring holds her most intimate thoughts inside of a tiny computer chip.  It's literally the closest thing to giving her actual heart that she could ever give another sim.    This marriage may not be being built completely on love but for Ariana, she's promising him that her heart will be his and with time, their love will be everything they've ever dreamed of and more.

With vows spoken, Ariana and James head to the rocket ship to get started on their family right away.   These two have their hearts set on love and family. Will they reach the stars or will their dreams crash and burn?

Tifani Triumph: Back to School Year 2

The first year of college was almost near disastrous.  They had a house, well a shell of a house.  For the most part they did well academically, all but Belle.  Apparently coming from such an amassed wealth as they have in the main house she wasn't OK with just 'getting by'.  However, I think knowing that her dad died disappointed in her academic probation did something to help her out.  She's pulled her act together...some.

Before we get too far ahead however, let's check in on the two newest college students.

The first adopted child post apocalyptic life is off to college!

Yup, he's definitely drunk the koolaide.  Perhaps a future in politics with the S.A.P.?

With the influx of scholarship money and a bit of inheritance money have helped the house come a bit further with comfort and needs in mind.  Don't get me wrong, there's still a LONG way to go but it's a start.

First semester down and it's all A's and B's for everyone.  And managing that in a house FULL of whiny needy college kids is a feat.  Even Belle pulled a B+ and managed to get herself off academic probation.  She's a semester behind but that's all in the wash now.

Second semester was just as hard, for me.  Have they eaten?  Potty needs?  Good gravy those stairs are a pain in the booty but no room to change it without changing the entire house layout.  I'm not in the mood for that and they don't have the money!  However, everyone managed to again make out with A's and B's and no academic probation to be seen.

When we return, upper class-men!  And probably another cousin or two will join the house.

Scarlet Alexa: Generation 8 Chapter 2

Ariana is looking to the stars for answers to all of the questions she has about life. She's spent days digging around in the library and found old files written down by Akito Montgomery in the fifth generation and she's convinced there's political corruption that is going to result in a massive apocalypse. I don't dig obsession but at least this one is forcing my sim into gaining many skills in preparation for the future.

With Ariana so busy with her studies, Scarlet and Phillip have been busy building a stronger relationship. Both of them have completed their aspirations to have a soulmate.

You can't believe how very happy I am for these two! Scarlet started out with the dreaded love affair with a married man so I couldn't have imagined that she would go on to find the love of her life with a man that is noncommittal!

Back to Ariana—that girl is determined! She's now a savant and earning skills even faster.  Further, she's started building a rocket ship! WHOA! You go girl!

Of course, being the overachiever that she is, it didn't take long for her to be D-O-N-E! Yes, folks, pretty soon there will be a Montgomery in Space. You can't believe how proud I am.  We just need to give this ship a couple upgrades and we'll be ready for launch!

Before Ariana could head for the stars—Phillip reached for the heavens in unexpected ways.  I honestly thought that he and Scarlet would have more time together. Her heart is just shattered. He was much older but still...we were caught off guard.

If there's anything that Scarlet learned from Phillip though, it's that you need companionship.  Things don't even have to be super serious.  Yes, their particular relationship was. He was her soulmate and while she is devastated, she doesn't feel the need to neglect her social needs.

So, she lovingly placed flowers on his grave and then made wishes for romance at the wishing well. 

Meet Preston.  He's kinda cute. He's young, but cute.  I'm sure he'll provide a bit of romance and a not-so-serious relationship for Ms. Scarlet. 

 We'll give it a few days though before things get too serious.  We want to be respectful towards Phillip. Plus, it's Ariana's birthday into young adulthood!

With Ariana now a young adult, I've had her to join up with the Legacy club.  She's an overachiever and convinced the world is going to end. That means she wants to be prepared by learning everything that she can! No time for romance yet...this girl is still busy trying her best to get to space! 

Her rocket science skills are maxed and she unlocked connections so that she could start her career as a scientist! No better way to get to space and make a difference in the world—possibly even save it!

First, though? She decided to save her mom! Scarlet was due to age to elder and Ariana talked her into drinking the life essence of a sim that Penny's cowplants devoured.  Mama is now back to the first day of adulthood!

These two ladies are going to take over the world!
