The only thing that surprises me about this death is that she didn't go caress her cowplants before she slipped into the dark abyss. I promise you, she's going to the dark abyss. Any mother that prefers a plant to her child is not going to Sims heaven.
You know, as much as I hated Penny—I really didn't hate her enough to roll over her while she was dying. There's hate and then there is hate...
Neither Genji nor Emma were overly concerned with Penny's death. I know it sounds cold of them and I promise it wasn't. It was more like relief. Finally they could be free of the cowplants!
Still, they were torn on whether or not to celebrate Emma's birthday. Neither one wanted to be disrespectful towards Penelope's memory but ultimately, Genji felt that Emma deserved to start her young adult with a celebration and not with mourning. Have I said lately what a wonderful man Genji is? He loved his wife as best as he could in spite of her obsession and he loves his children fiercely.
Shortly after Penny's death, Genji was finally able to find love in the arms of a woman who truly loves and cherishes him. Genji doesn't want to rush things but he's not getting any younger so very soon he's going to ask her to move in with him. She loves and appreciates him in ways that Penelope was never capable of. Erika makes him feel young again and he wants to spend his last days with her.
Emma decided to hit the library to work on her latest novel and to give Erika and her dad some privacy. She wants to be a Bestselling Author just like the great matriarch of the family, Ember. She's always been so fascinated with stories about Ember's life and how the Montgomery family was founded. Emma wants to do such great things with her own life and for the family so that future generations are remembering her just as much.
While at the Library, Emma met a guy. Not just any guy, a librarian. Oh, Weston Thames might just be the hottest and most adorable librarian she had ever laid eyes on and boy did they hit it off! It looks like love might be in the air!
While Emma was getting cozy with Weston, Genji was busy proposing to Erika at a t-shirt festival. I'm not sure about his location of choice but she said yes so I guess that's all that matters.
With her father's life nearly at an end and a new mother and sibling to have to help care for in the upcoming days, Emma invited Weston over to take their relationship to the next level and hopefully pop the question.
It was at this moment that The Maker made a mistake. Yes, instead of woohoo, I unintentionally clicked "Try for Baby" and though I tried to X out of the interaction, it was too late.
Emma is pregnant and unwed. Her father was not at all happy! But, he quickly got over it and welcomed Weston into the family as a son. He couldn't stay upset at his little girl for too long! Plus, he can tell that Weston truly loves his daughter and that's what really matters! As long as Emma is happy, Genji is happy for her.
I have to say, Weston is looking pretty darn good for a librarian. He didn't get those abs from putting books on the shelf, I tell ya that!
What felt like just days later, Erika gave birth to her little one. A precious little girl named Lauren Kate. The moment she was born, Erika passed her to Genji. He's been so feeble lately and at the end of his days. There wasn't a moment to lose because the reaper could be around any corner just waiting to claim Genji's soul.
The Reaper just couldn't say no to this rather odd looking thing. He took it, stared at it with such longing and then he released the hold that he had on Genji's soul.
Of course she only delayed the inevitable but Genji will live to see another day. He'll also get a chance to meet generation #8 as well as watch Generation #7, Emma and Weston begin the next chapter of the Montgomery family Legacy!
I would have no qualms with the car scenario you know, if that's what it takes :D
