Mary's House
Last we left Zachariah was on the cusp of adulthood with no woman in sight, but a lot in the phone book! This the last week with Mary as the head of household and soon Zachariah will have to start making the adult decisions. Is he ready? I guess we'll find out!
Day one concludes with Zachariah aging to adult. With his clothing choices I'm not holding out much hope that he has what it takes to make actual adult decisions though!
Clothing issues aside it is now time to get his act together and find a wife. I mean someone has to guide him as Mom and Dad age closer to Grimmy. A quick glance at the phone book and an old neighbor LeShawn Cameron's name popped up. There were already good friends so why not see where it might lead...
It truly was a love story. From Bathroom Besties to love to engaged to marriage to the bedroom.
It wasn't long after the nuptials that Mary had a date she couldn't cancel. Yup, Grimmy in the house. Kitchen to be precise. The youngest of Janabel's children, the only one she couldn't pass off as Randy's, Mary grew up knowing she was different. She also grew up knowing that Randy wasn't her Daddy and that love was so much more important than anything else. So when she first set her sights on Shea she knew she loved him. And since love conquers all, doesn't it, she knew that someday he would be hers. A love for the ages, despite their age differences. As an adult Mary also had the opportunity to meet her biological father. While not a reunion written in the stars Mary was able to overcome herself and find a place for Jace in her life and that of her family. Sadly, Mary died so young never having the opportunity to become a Gramma.
It wasn't much later that what would have been Mary's first grandchild was on it's way.
why yes that is Shea just lounging around in the background. He never went into a depression after losing his love but he also didn't go all hoochie like other Sims have with immediately wanting a new love. He just was. He actually spent a lot of time meditating, it got him out of the way and prevented the quadrillion bottle problem after the grands arrived.
Why yes, you can thank The Maker for this one. As LeShawn went into labor we may have been on the phone, and I said it was go time and she definitely said it was twins. I'm sure that there is a curse out there somewhere that I will be using at some future date. Meet Merry and Shayla. Not the heirs of this household, that will have to come later. Though LeShawn's pregnancy was rather unremarkable. She was easy to please and never really failed at life. Here's to round two being the same.
It wasn't just a day later, the last day of the week that we lost Shea to his unrevokeable date with Grimmy. He was such a good man. He was there for Mary before he ever knew he was more for Mary. He was her friend as a teen, her lover as an adult, her husband, the father of her children. He helped her and Jace through the chaos that was their meeting. He was patient, understanding, and loving. Mary and Zachariah deserved no less. The day he had the opportunity he was a doting Papa. I'll miss him.
The household is now firmly in the hands of Zachariah with no living members of the family from Generation 5 to fall back on. He has his love at his side, two adorable girls that depend on him and an heir still to conceive.
Samuel's House
Last we left Gwen the Horrendous had delivered the household heir Jonah and the million bottle campaign was in full swing. No more babies for this household but with twin teenagers and a soon to be toddler in the house there's no lack of drama and things to do. Though I would prefer a wee bit less activity than Mary/Zachariah's house provided us.
Not long after settling into the house Jonah aged to toddler and the walking/talking/potty training chaos began. At least the bottle challenge ended.
Two days later Samuel and Gwen aged to elder. Together. At the same time. Four hours late. This officially ensures that there will be no more babies in this household for a while.
One morning, Samuel was trying to get some last minute skilling in before work and he had been playing with Jonah beforehand. Off to the mirror he goes with the little nugget in his arms. I've seen this with babies but not yet with toddlers.
However, when the car came for work and I told him to go he went right out the door with Jonah still in his arms. Wasn't aware it was take your toddler to work day. And of course I was terrified that without bottles at the office Jonah would be whipped away by the social worker on their return home. However, it all ended well. Jonah did not go into any needs failure at the office and came home with probably more education from the newsroom than any toddler needs and ready for a bottle, the potty, and the crib.
Near the end of the week Jonah's birthday snuck up on me and he had aged before I showed up camera in hand like a good Ruler. It wasn't a happy birthday for him and he was completely in the wrong spot (much like his father) for a good picture. Thorough the window it is then!
Come back next time when the twins grow up and out of the house! And Jonah moves closer to taking over, hopefully before Mom and Daddy require the creation of a graveyard out back.
Faith's House
Ah, Faith and Joe. They have a cozy little home filled with cats and love and space to grow. New week, more love, let's see where it takes them.
It wasn't long after I dropped in that I knew it was coming. A baby. An heir. Faith is such an easy going Sim that even her pregnancy was a breeze. She was happy (not miserable) did not suffer from chronic needs failure and was just so much the opposite of the other gals recently poppin' babies! I think she might be my favorite. Nothing can dampen the love these two have developed.
I'm telling you, these two are relationship goals for their contemporaries. There's some learning some of the cousins could do by spending time with these two. And I don't mean the lovey dovey making out that the others 'think' it's all about. It's the respect, the time invested into each other and their future.
But even uneventful pregnancies have to end.
Yes, thank you so much there was only one baby, sweet baby Hannah. I guess technically Hannah makes 5 if you count the cats but alas, not this time. Hannah's infancy was pretty laid back as well.
Toward weeks end she grew up to toddler in her Daddy's arms and set to work making best friends with her parents and learning to walk and talk with a few potty breaks for good measure. This family is so content and easy going. Even the Abilene and Argus (ya know...the cats) are easy to care for and content. They haven't really built a relationship with each other yet but Abilene has already maxed her career so that's 1 down for Joe.
Next week Hannah will grow up to child as her parents work to teach her about contentment with life and what real romance is.
Hope's House
Ah, the lovebirds. Or should I say the 'you will woo me every day with dream dates because I need 50 of 'em to be happy for life' birds. Baby Eliza is about to become child Eliza as she's moving through toddlerhood like a champ. Hope and Abhijeet are dating every day which is definitely keeping the spark alive. Can they keep it up?
First things first, not a lot happened in this house this week. Hope and Abhijeet worked on a few dream dates. It was helpful that their days off were overlapping so they just dated all day. All. Day. Like woot hit dream, end date, wanna go on a date. Rinse and repeat. Hope is up to 13 total dates on her goal to 50.
Meanwhile they both achieved a few promotions and spent some of that 'happy' time post dream dates working on skills. But then again neither one cares about career so much as I care about their income to finish remodeling the house.
Oh yeah, Eliza did grow up to a child very early in the week as well. Now that she's less needy and more self-sufficient it makes it easier for Mom and Dad to hit the dates! Not that she's neglected at all, she's besties with both her parents. You know, when your young and Mom and Dad are awesome and stuff.
She's such a cutie! Though I'm NOT a fan of the flying pigtails as they never go away. And it's a bit creepy on at elder. Until next time...
Better unlock the ability to change appearance so you can get rid of the piggies cause she's a cutie! It'd be a shame to see her stomp her way into adulthood with those!
