Life of Kessie - Weekends are Awesome!

Hi, guys. I finally took the time to work out! With all of these classes and food tastings, I must find the time to go to a gym. Besides, I have a free weekend coming up and I don't want to look crazy in the outfit I picked out.

Of course, I would study a little on the weekend, as Finals Week approaches. With professors like Professor Hatch and Professor Donner, you have to study. Professor Donner is the type to give you a pop quiz during a 7AM class - which he has! I can't squeak by that class again.

Enrique actually stopped me to ask about my issue with him and the rest of his crew. I was as honest as I possibly could - I told him everything. I thought that they were arrogant meatheads who thought they owned the world. However, while Enrique proved me wrong and showed me how people could change, Trav and Pierce did not. He also enlightened me on something that I never thought was possible. "The reason why you two are always at odds, is because you're both alike! Oh, and you didn't hear this from me.........he actually likes you! That's why he's always getting under your skin."

Wait.....what? HUH? Pierce Deschenaux? Likes ME? Yeah, right! That will never happen in a million years, and add a few more million on to that. Speaking of likes.....

I realized that I haven't spoken to Connor in days! Oh, and did I mention that we aren't even dating....sort of? Okay, so technically we are interested in each other and we did go out a few times. However, things went up in the air when I packed my bags to come here. His brother Jared was nice enough to take care of my house while I'm away, so I guess that's something. I decided to shoot him an instant message in Simbook before I went to the fair.

I took a trip to a fair on campus, and look who showed up to surprise me? CONNOR!!! I missed him so much! It was real sweet of him to pay me a visit and spend the whole day with me. He was actually doing an article on College Events, so he made his trip worthwhile.

I so totally love him for this. It was an epic day. The day I completely forgot about everything. Classes, food, and Pierce with his shenanigans. Yes, I didn't pay any mind to what Enrique said, because what I truly want was standing right in front of me. Anyone who would travel for hours to see his "girlfriend" is a keeper. Yes, we made it official at the fair! Swoon!!!

Until next time,

Kessie (Frio soon?) :)

Tifani Triumph: Back to School Year 1

Thanks to Felicia college is back up and running.  Our first set of young adults is about to enter the world since last that Tifiani was here.  Jana, Belle, Madison and Mason are about to embark on a journey that no other sim has had the opportunity to embrace since Tifani.  Here's hoping it's a 'mostly' positive experience!

Jeremiah was first in line to drop of Jana and Belle.  Felicia had passed away while they were sitting in the bin waiting for this day.
Samuel was right behind him, in the same koolaide drinking head gear, to drop off his twins Madison and Mason.  Can these cousins make it work between them while they start with nothing but some land and their interesting choices in Young Adult atire.

It was hard but there was some inheritance money to get the basics started.  With a few more scholarships and a few more cousins coming in this may just be the awesomest, non Greek, house at the University.  I'm building it after all!

This week was interesting and stressful but not overly photogenic.  They were all basically miserable.  I gave them a bathroom, basic kitchen and beds.  It's all they had money for.  This house has potential but if they don't keep their grades up they will never see that potential!  Right out of the gate, apparently this house didn't meet Belle's 'needs' and she went into aspiration failure in the makeshift kitchen.
Semester 1 down and there were a couple of A's and then a couple of B-'s as well.  I should have kept better track of who did what but ya know, it was all I could do to keep them happy!  With the influx of money they got a slightly better bathroom, a love seat, and the chess table.  Perhaps happiness will increase?

Semester 2 came around and Belle skipped her final because she was so miserable.  You know what happens when a lack luster student skills their final?  Yeah, Academic Probation.  I've NEVER had a sim on Academic Probation, thanks Belle!  That sent her into her second aspiration failure, in the filthy bathroom, of her first year of college.

This, thus far, isn't going so well for the first young adults of the Apocalypse! Perhaps next year will be better?

Life of Kessie - Impressive

Hi, nice people. Sorry that you have to see me like this. The recent events with Pierce & Co. really threw me off my A - game and I fell asleep in class :( Then again, who wants to sit through two hours of Culinary Discoveries? I did manage to wake up for the exam, which I aced!!

HAHAHA! Look at poor little Dechie! He struggled the whole exam. I'm actually shocked that he pulled off a B- with the way he was squirming in his seat. This cook off is going to be easier than I thought. Checkmate!

With this beautiful day, Professor Hatch decided to have class outside. I can definitely work with that. Enrique is in this class as well, and he actually has great talent in Art. I didn't know that he was a Music major, which is pretty impressive because the program only takes 50 students every two years. For him to get in on a full scholarship was pretty impressive. He's not that bad of a person as I thought. I should talk to him more often.

After class, I was starving. So, I decided to whip up some Ratatouille for myself and the others. This is a dish that is simply not made - it is nurtured. I was in the mood for it, so why not? I am sure to win over everyone in the house with this dish, especially since it's so expensive in restaurants and very hard to perfect.

It was a hit! Everyone loved it, even Pierce - who swore that it was bought at the Bistro. After arguing with others in the house that I made it, he had no choice but to be impressed and realize that he bit off more than he could chew with this cook off. He even decided to call a temporary truce and asked me to tutor him in Culinary Discoveries. I guess I can help poor Dechie pick up his grades a little.

Checkmate! I walked away with the biggest boost of confidence. To own Pierce Dechenaux is not easy, but it's sure worth it.

Until next time :)

Emma Faith: Generation 7 Chapter 1

In the last chapter we saw Genji escape a narrow brush with death.  Though he is still old and feeble. He's been determined to meet his grandchild.  I find his love of family to be so endearing.  This was the family he was supposed to have. He's happy and I'm happy for him.

Emma is happy too. She and her dad are closer than ever. Of course they both loved Penelope but her inability to fully love them kept them so suppressed.   Erika has helped to make their house into the home it was in previous generations.

The big day arrived and Emma went into labor. I'm so very pleased to present the future heir of the Montgomery family, Scarlet Alexa.

It wasn't long and Lauren was aging up. Years ago there had been a serious illness that broke out among the sims. It damaged a gene that controlled the aging of sims and an entire developmental life stage was skipped.  This went on for thousands of sim years until one day, science came out with a miracle patch.  It was simple. All you had to do was slap this patch on like a bandaid and voila! It reversed the damage to the toddler gene.  Meet the very first Montgomery toddler, EVER.

The joyous occasion was cut short when the birthday curse brought the Grim Reaper back to the lot for Genji.  Once again Erika offered the Grim reaper a death flower because he hadn't gotten to see Lauren since she aged to toddler. Plus, it broke her heart that sweet little Lauren was experiencing death at such a young age. It just didn't feel fair.

Grim accepted the flower and went to make himself a sandwich in my kitchen while Genji and his daughter bonded in the yard.  They played together for an hour or so and had the best time.  It was the absolute sweetest thing I've ever seen.

The Grim Reaper didn't even have time to leave the lot before Genji collapsed for a second time. I could see Erika standing there with Lauren and her heart was in turmoil.  She loved Genji with all her might and she never wanted to see him go but she also knew that this wasn't fair to him.  He got to meet his daughter and he got to spend a precious few hours of play with her.  Even if she spent all of her death flowers, it would only delay things and at this point, Genji was just tired.  If she loved him, she needed to let him go. So with tears in her eyes, she curled her fingers around the death flower and crushed it.  Genji smiled and breathed his last breath and so it was the end.

Six generations of Montgomery family now rest in the graveyard.  Though Genji was laid to rest beside of Penelope as a memorial of the generations, there is a spot to his left for his loving wife Erika when her time comes to say goodbye to the world.

It was now time for Emma and Weston to take charge of the house.  There were some decision to be made about Erika and Lauren. What was their place in the Legacy house with Genji gone?   Emma quickly reassured her that for as long as they wanted, they had a home with her.

Several days later it was Scarlet's turn to age until a toddler and I totally flipped out when I saw that she inherited her grandpa Lamar's dark skin.  See, Scarlet's middle name is Alexa and Alexa was Lamar's wife. Alexa and Lamar are her great-great grandparents. How cool is it that she has that connection with them? She has her mom's and grandfather's beautiful red locks though.

I cannot wait to see Scarlet and her aunt Lauren grow up together.  It's an unusual situation but family is everything and this one just happens to be filled with so much love and happiness that my Maker heart is nearly bursting at the seams!

Life of Kessie -The Bane of My Existence

Hi, everyone! I have a problem, my dear friends. There is trouble brewing, and his name is Pierce Decheneaux!

This rivalry is as bad as Gary Oak and Ash Ketchum (with this dude being Gary, of course). Bad enough that he's in the same culinary program that I'm in. Why? Sure, he was one of the top students in Sunset Valley High and had everything handed to him by his rich parents. Pierce is just arrogant, obnoxious, and an annoying perfectionist. Of course, it irked him to see me at the Student Union. It also irked him when I called him "Dechie" - which he hates! To boot, we even buy the same hair color. (I know Manic Panic when I see it!)  For someone to not like me as much as he does, why did he decide to color his hair the same exact color? What could be worse than my rival going to the same university?

He is also my new roommate in the dorm! Why is he in the kitchen? I'm the one who cooks for the dorm. Here we go again with Pierce being the star of the show. Just when I thought my nightmare was over, here comes his two best friends, Trav Jenkins and Enrique Rodriguez.

I ask again.....why? These three were unbearable in high school. Trav is the jock (code word: Meat Head) that always talked sports, cheerleaders and always used sports terms when speaking and Enrique thought he was a ladies' man (Can someone say, GAG?) This is going to be a looooong semester. Seeing as we have to co-exist, why not study together? Or, so I thought. I ended up studying alone while the Three Stooges talked among each other. It's the same as high school all over again- anyone who tries to infiltrate their little circle gets ignored.

As I went to grab me a bowl of Goopy Cabonara, Pierce decided he wanted to criticize it. This fool said that my sauce wasn't goopy enough and was missing Tarragon. TARRAGON? REALLY?! Of course, I could not let his harsh words go unpunished. It's one thing to invade my personal space, it's even okay to ignore me when I'm trying to be friendly. It's another story entirely when you pick apart my cooking and its techniques! This. Can. Not. FLY!!! So, I challenged him to a cook off! Winner cooks for the dorm until final exams and wins $500. I know I'm going to win, because while he had the best chefs he could buy, I have natural born talent. Time to put that plate where your arrogance is, Dechie!!

Oh my! I have to run to class! Talk to you guys later!

-Kessie :)

Tifani Triumph: John, Eden, Bethany, and Andrew

Puppies and babies.  That about sums everything up for this episode.  Well, and remodeling.  That too.

John's House
Skyler is growing up so fast, Meadow 'thinks' she wants another baby (trust me she doesn't!) and has lots of puppies being born.  John's just floating through the chaos.

This week about killed me, but let's focus on the positive, pets.  Fanny and Elvis grew up to adult while Genji and Hillary were being born.  Off for adoption the older two went and more puppies to try for.  We gotta get 20 people...20.  Icely and Jupiter came next and as Fanny and Elvis grew up it was time for them to be adopted out as well.

OK, to the humans.  I'm just going to say it.  I'm an idiot.  I should listen to The Maker more and stop letting them do what they will.  But noooo, I'm an idiot.  Remember how Meadow thought she really wanted another baby.  And all I could think about was how miserable she was last time?  And now John also thinks he wants another baby.  So, like every good Idiot I thought, let them try, what can it hurt?  Oh it really really really really well you get the idea, hurt.
She was miserable.  Oh so horribly miserable.  Her and Gwen the Horrid take the cake with pregnancy misery.  She's not quite as bad as Gwen as it's only her fun and sleep needs that get hormonal but good golly Molly.  That top right photo?  That was only one of the four, yes FOUR times she tossed her cookies during morning sickness.  I've never seen a sim spend so much time praying to the Porcelain God.  In the end we all survived and there will NOT be another since she's breathing down the neck of elder, but a simopause baby it is!
Meet Baby Lark.  And like all good sim babies she will be fed as many bottles that can be pulled from the fridge as fast as they can be pulled by any and every person in the house at any given time.  Thank goodness the infant years are blessedly short.  And just in time to close for the week little Lark grew up.
While all this baby stuff and Idiocy was going on?  John maxed his career and now is wanting to go into education.  Not sure he's a two career guy though, we'll see next week.

Eden's House
Baby Nicholas is getting more education than any infant needs having recently returned from going to work with Eden.  He's on the cusp of toddlerhood and the house has been given some serious upgrades.  Which is going to be so handy as he grows up.

Start of the week and little Nicholas grows up to toddler!  Oh, the week will be busy with toddler skills.  And of course, like a champ he maxed them all quickly.
All that toddler attention, however, took it's toll on the adults in the house.  Oliver did get two promotions this week but had he focused more on skills and less on teaching his boy how to walk he may have had more.  Eden is stuck with just one promotion to go to max out her career and lifetime want.  However, she's having trouble with getting the required friends.  She's been stuck at needing 3 more but each day at rollover time for such things one or two will drop to the wayside from lack of interaction.  Oliver and Eden waste so much social need re-cementing those friendships that it makes it harder to create new ones.  That and for some reason Eden is constantly hanging out in Platinum aspiration and so her needs drop so slllooowly that she never really 'needs' social.  Hence, still needs 3 friends for that last promotion.

Toward the end of the week Nicholas grew up to a child.
This picture doesn't quite do this boy justice, he's a cutie and has a great attitude!  He was lucky that there was only one school day to attend and then the weekend. He didn't have a chance to truly do school fun burnout like some of his cousins.  And I discovered, or rediscovered actually, this awesome toy that is way better than the toy box.  Pictures next week, along with remodel pictures as well!

Bethany's House
Bethany has the American dream, a husband, a house, a career and a baby.  But with baby comes chaos.  You know, bottles leads to toddler skills which leads to homework meltdowns.

Before we worry about growing up babies though, Bethany needs to worry about friends.  She's not going to get too far with her career without a few more.  Troy's good, for now, but you know that will change with promotions as well.  Skills and friends are the priority while waiting for Tabitha to grow up.  Which she did, rather quickly.
She's such a cute toddler, though I see a hint at what may be daddy's nose there.  She walked, she talked, she potty trained, and she got a few charisma skills along the few days of toddlerhood.  And end of the week she became a child.
The shaggy look.  This hair just looks so unkempt. Though it is better than the flying pigtails.  Tabitha got it easy with this birthday.  It's Friday night.  She has the weekend before she has to deal with school, and homework.  Though I'm hoping she might meet eligible friends at school to help out Mom and Dad.  We shall see.

Mom and Dad had a few decent promotions but really need to focus on their skills now, not Tabitha's, so that promotions can happen.  This house is not finished being remodeled and that takes simoleons!

Andrew's House
Andrew wasn't alone for long, though it took a week to convince Joanne to become his wife.  Will they have a family immediately, or wait like some of his siblings?  I guess we are about to find out!

It was a rather uneventful week at Andrew's house.  They worked on skills, they worked on friendships, and Joanne spent the entire week scouring the paper trying to find her dream job, to no avail.  However, Joanne and I decided they wanted a baby sooner rather than later.

For someone who entered engagement with regrets she's been full steam ahead ever since.  She wants a baby, and she's not even got a whiff of family sim to her.  Andrew has no preference apparently though he has a secondary family trait.  Why not give them a baby?
She didn't do too bad at pregnancy however as time drew nearer her needs bottomed out.  She did a LOT of napping on the sofa throughout the day but all in all wasn't by far the most difficult sim to deal with.
And Friday evening it was go time!
And baby Natalie was born.  Do you see that pout on Joanne?  Like I said it was fairly normal 'I'm pregnant and miserable' up until the last few hours and them blam everything went red.  While she is happy to have a baby she's also desperately needing the bathroom, food, fun, social and sleep.  Poor nugget.

Next week Natalie will grow up to a toddler, hopefully Joanne will finally find her dream job, and Andrew...well he's just Andrew.

Life of Kessie

Hi! I'm Kessie Pirci, and this is the story of my life. I want to be an aspiring chef, a top chef if you will. But first, COLLEGE! Just.......great. *insert sarcasm* I have to go to college for this? Did Bobby Flay? Did Michael Symon? Oh, they did? Never mind then, off to college I go.

Ah, the wonderful college life. New surroundings, new friends, and most of all.....PARTIES!!!
I'm the one with the green thing over my head (because my creator is not savvy enough to remove this – get on it, woman!!). So yeah, I'm embarking on my university experience. I'll be living in a co-ed dorm, since I didn't have enough to rent my own apartment. This is a big change for me since I'm the only child in my family and I live alone (until now, that is.) As long as no one bothers my stuff, I'm fine.

While most people are partying their life away, here I am....studying. I mean sure, Jeffery Dean asked me out on a date, but I have goals. G-O-A-L-S! Also, my heart is with someone back home – Connor. I get it, I'm supposed to be wild and free. Sure, Connor and I aren't technically a couple, but I have hope.

I actually like one of my roommates. Tiffany Engles is a pretty dope chick. We hit it off instantly, as we both have things in common – like food! I promised her I was going to make my signature Firecracker Shrimp one of these days. Hmm.....perhaps I'll keep in touch with her after graduation.

First day on campus wasn't that bad. I met my roommates, received my schedule (4PM classes suck BTW!), and ready to take on the world. But first.......

Until next time,

Kessie :)

Stratton (6)

I really should have kept this up better. I'm sorry, everyone. This is just a large dump post on all that's happened since we last met with the Stratton's.

We left off last time with Karly pregnant and in labor (again, darn it woman!) That brought the birth of a baby boy, Keenan Lancaster. Keenan is now a teen, yes, it's been that long!

Zachary has aged to elder, Karly hasn't joined him yet. Kaitlynn is going to miss her mom and dad when their time comes, so she's spending any minute she's not working with her children and parents playing games, having family meals, and loading them down with more bonding time than Zachary and Karly ever wanted.
This brings us to our next heir, Kaitlynn and her relationship with Ryker. They both aged to young adult and their relationship progressed quickly from there. They're now married, with three (yes, just when I thought we'd stop with the surprise babies, Kaitlynn followed suit) children.

The first born is a surprise, mainly because it's something I've been waiting on for so long, so we'll get to the heir at the end of this installment. I want you to meet baby number 2 first. Ryland Marcum.

And then come baby number 3, Gemma Marcum. She's still an infant!
And now, what we've all been waiting for, our heir! Meet our FIRST MALE heir! It took FOUR generations to bring us a male heir, but we DID IT!Meet Connor Marcum

And with our first male heir, brings us to his first friend, and hopefully his wife and mother of his CHILD (yes, Connor, CHILD....please, please don't do what your great-great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother have done and surprise us with extra children). Little Miss Amy Lee.
