Puppies and babies. That about sums everything up for this episode. Well, and remodeling. That too.
John's House
Skyler is growing up so fast, Meadow 'thinks' she wants another baby (trust me she doesn't!) and has lots of puppies being born. John's just floating through the chaos.
This week about killed me, but let's focus on the positive, pets. Fanny and Elvis grew up to adult while Genji and Hillary were being born. Off for adoption the older two went and more puppies to try for. We gotta get 20 people...20. Icely and Jupiter came next and as Fanny and Elvis grew up it was time for them to be adopted out as well.
OK, to the humans. I'm just going to say it. I'm an idiot. I should listen to The Maker more and stop letting them do what they will. But noooo, I'm an idiot. Remember how Meadow thought she really wanted another baby. And all I could think about was how miserable she was last time? And now John also thinks he wants another baby. So, like every good Idiot I thought, let them try, what can it hurt? Oh it really really really really well you get the idea, hurt.
She was miserable. Oh so horribly miserable. Her and Gwen the Horrid take the cake with pregnancy misery. She's not quite as bad as Gwen as it's only her fun and sleep needs that get hormonal but good golly Molly. That top right photo? That was only one of the four, yes FOUR times she tossed her cookies during morning sickness. I've never seen a sim spend so much time praying to the Porcelain God. In the end we all survived and there will NOT be another since she's breathing down the neck of elder, but a simopause baby it is!
Meet Baby Lark. And like all good sim babies she will be fed as many bottles that can be pulled from the fridge as fast as they can be pulled by any and every person in the house at any given time. Thank goodness the infant years are blessedly short. And just in time to close for the week little Lark grew up.
While all this baby stuff and Idiocy was going on? John maxed his career and now is wanting to go into education. Not sure he's a two career guy though, we'll see next week.
Eden's House
Baby Nicholas is getting more education than any infant needs having recently returned from going to work with Eden. He's on the cusp of toddlerhood and the house has been given some serious upgrades. Which is going to be so handy as he grows up.
Start of the week and little Nicholas grows up to toddler! Oh, the week will be busy with toddler skills. And of course, like a champ he maxed them all quickly.
All that toddler attention, however, took it's toll on the adults in the house. Oliver did get two promotions this week but had he focused more on skills and less on teaching his boy how to walk he may have had more. Eden is stuck with just one promotion to go to max out her career and lifetime want. However, she's having trouble with getting the required friends. She's been stuck at needing 3 more but each day at rollover time for such things one or two will drop to the wayside from lack of interaction. Oliver and Eden waste so much social need re-cementing those friendships that it makes it harder to create new ones. That and for some reason Eden is constantly hanging out in Platinum aspiration and so her needs drop so slllooowly that she never really 'needs' social. Hence, still needs 3 friends for that last promotion.
Toward the end of the week Nicholas grew up to a child.
This picture doesn't quite do this boy justice, he's a cutie and has a great attitude! He was lucky that there was only one school day to attend and then the weekend. He didn't have a chance to truly do school fun burnout like some of his cousins. And I discovered, or rediscovered actually, this awesome toy that is way better than the toy box. Pictures next week, along with remodel pictures as well!
Bethany's House
Bethany has the American dream, a husband, a house, a career and a baby. But with baby comes chaos. You know, bottles leads to toddler skills which leads to homework meltdowns.
Before we worry about growing up babies though, Bethany needs to worry about friends. She's not going to get too far with her career without a few more. Troy's good, for now, but you know that will change with promotions as well. Skills and friends are the priority while waiting for Tabitha to grow up. Which she did, rather quickly.
She's such a cute toddler, though I see a hint at what may be daddy's nose there. She walked, she talked, she potty trained, and she got a few charisma skills along the few days of toddlerhood. And end of the week she became a child.
The shaggy look. This hair just looks so unkempt. Though it is better than the flying pigtails. Tabitha got it easy with this birthday. It's Friday night. She has the weekend before she has to deal with school, and homework. Though I'm hoping she might meet eligible friends at school to help out Mom and Dad. We shall see.
Mom and Dad had a few decent promotions but really need to focus on their skills now, not Tabitha's, so that promotions can happen. This house is not finished being remodeled and that takes simoleons!
Andrew's House
Andrew wasn't alone for long, though it took a week to convince Joanne to become his wife. Will they have a family immediately, or wait like some of his siblings? I guess we are about to find out!
It was a rather uneventful week at Andrew's house. They worked on skills, they worked on friendships, and Joanne spent the entire week scouring the paper trying to find her dream job, to no avail. However, Joanne and I decided they wanted a baby sooner rather than later.
For someone who entered engagement with regrets she's been full steam ahead ever since. She wants a baby, and she's not even got a whiff of family sim to her. Andrew has no preference apparently though he has a secondary family trait. Why not give them a baby?
She didn't do too bad at pregnancy however as time drew nearer her needs bottomed out. She did a LOT of napping on the sofa throughout the day but all in all wasn't by far the most difficult sim to deal with.
And Friday evening it was go time!
And baby Natalie was born. Do you see that pout on Joanne? Like I said it was fairly normal 'I'm pregnant and miserable' up until the last few hours and them blam everything went red. While she is happy to have a baby she's also desperately needing the bathroom, food, fun, social and sleep. Poor nugget.
Next week Natalie will grow up to a toddler, hopefully Joanne will finally find her dream job, and Andrew...well he's just Andrew.
